Raging Rivers
Overview
How devastating is it when a river floods?
In our topic lessons, the children will learn about more rivers: where they come from and their features, why they are important, the causes of pollution and the effect it has on the environment and looking at a river in depth. In English we will be focusing on the novel ‘Floodland’ which is set in Britain in the future, where the country in underwater and Norwich is now an island. We will be talking a lot of climate change and writing a persuasive speech about protecting our planet.
