Who was most responsible for the sinking of the titanic?
At the start of this work, the Woodpeckers were provided with tickets to board the great Titanic on her maiden voyage. Some were lucky enough to receive first class tickets and some managed to get their hands on second class tickets however the less fortunate were left with the third class or ‘steerage’ tickets. This was a very effective hook leaving them hungry to find out more about life on board the titanic before disaster struck. Their key texts this term are ‘I was there…Titanic’ and ‘The Story of the Titanic’. They will be considering ‘what might have happened if…’ scenarios, and creating dioramas based on the different rooms on board this mighty ship.
