Food Glorious Food
Woodpeckers topic – Food Glorious Food, was launched with blind food tasting! The children were very courageous trying samples of foods that they may not have had before, and were challenged to develop their vocabulary in order to describe the different tastes and textures of the foods they tasted before recording their responses on their record sheets.
During their trip to Pizza Express, they tried their hand at making pizzas of their own, perfecting all the skills needed from kneeding the dough to twirling the bases, spreading the topping and of course a final taste test after cooking.
