Welcome to the Woodpeckers' Home Learning Page

All home learning for the Woodpeckers is now accessible on the website.  By Sunday I will upload the work for the following week along with any resources you will need.  Each week there is a reading, spelling, handwriting and maths activity to do and they can have the choice to do a screen/non screen option.  I will also set writing challenges each day as well some art activities to do throughout the week.  I will also upload videos of me teaching maths, reading our class story and examples of handwriting. Please contact me via email or SeeSaw if you have any questions.

This week is transition week!

Normally, we would be doing lots of transition activities at this time of year so I thought we could still do these but at home! This week is going to be a bit more relaxed as you've all worked so hard at home and deserve a break.  There's some fun maths and writing activities this week as well as the opportunity for you to reflect on your year.  In the case of Year 3, this is your time to look back at your time in Woodpeckers as you move up in September (but I'm not allowing myself to think about that at the moment!) Have an amazing week and I will be seeing all of you at some point before we break up.

Year 3 Home Learning Activities - week beginning 13th July

Woodpeckers' Homework

Homework is given out on Thursday and must be handed back the following Wednesday.

How much time should my child be spending on homework?

Children in Year 2 and Year 3 should be spending about 15 minutes per evening on their homework five evenings a week. Their homework will consist of daily reading, weekly spellings and weekly maths activities such as Times Tables Rockstars.  They may also have occasional projects.

This Week's Homework

Children have paper copies of their homework in their homework folder:
